MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of South Central Health & Rehabilitation Program (SCHARP) is to provide quality mental Health and social services to vulnerable populations in South Central Los Angeles (Now formally known as South Los Angeles). These populations consist of mentally ill, multi-diagnosed individuals with substance abuse disorder, interface with criminal justice system. By providing culturally relevant and significant impact upon the most needy of this community.

STAFF
Co-founders and Co-directors, Jack Barbour M.D. and Reta Floyd M.D. are community psychiatrists who have dedicated their careers to providing mental health services to the most seriously mentally ill adults in South Central Los Angeles. For the past twenty three years they have worked in South Central Los Angeles community based non-profit mental health agencies and have gained a reputation in the community of providing, the highest quality of services to needy individuals in challenging environments.

The staff of SCHARP is comprised of a mix of mental health professionals and community workers whose ethinicity reflects that of the community workers they serve. A mix of African-American, Latino, and Caucasian staff is culturally competent and sensitive to the ethnic, linguistic and cultural dimensions served by SCHARP's programs.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The board of directors of this non-profit agency is composed of dedicated individuals from all walks of life, each of whom brings their own special skills to ensure that the agency sticks to its mission, provides excellence in service delivery, and remains fiscally solvent.
